Yes, it's horribly insensitive, in poor taste, yada yada yada.
But she agreed to go on Big Brother. If you ask me, that's horribly insensitive, in poor taste, so on and so forth.
Has Big Brother gone too far? No, it hasn't gone far enough - it's still here. It needs to go quite a bit further away before I'm happy.
The point I am getting at is that you and I are paying for this shit. There are several million tax dollars that have been wasted on this that could have been used for something far more productive and useful.
It wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't paying for it.
Just for the record, anyone who goes on this show is asking for what they get. They put themselves in a human aquarium (so that every paser by can stare in). You only have to look at past seasons to know what you are getting yourself in for.
It could be made much more interesting...evictions would be carried out without the contestants knowing the results, the evictee could be taken out of the house/aquarium by a bunch of black clothed and helmeted goons with stun sticks in the middle of the night during an intentional power failure. That could make it more interesting.

It's not the dumbest thing the State government's ever spent our money on, but it probably does rank in the top 20.
Still, one wonders if that money is actually a worthwhile economic investment. Does the income derived from having such a show based in Queensland really make it worthwhile?
Then again - this is a State government that has proven that the only thing it can actually spend money on and deliver on time is football stadiums.
