HISTORIC Russian admiral Fyodor Ushakov - a hero of Russia's wars against Turkey and Napoleon Bonaparte - has been designated the patron saint of nuclear-armed, long-distance Russian bombers by the Orthodox Church.
Russian Patriarch Alexei II, head of the Russian Orthodox Church, carried a reliquary and an icon of the admiral, who was canonised in 2004, into the Moscow chapel of the Russian Air Force's 37th Air Army in Moscow, Russia's RIA Novosti news agency said.
"I am sure he will become your intermediary as you fulfil your responsible duties to the fatherland in the long-range air force," the patriarch said.
A bunch of blokes with opinions on almost anything who aren't afraid to crap on about them to the world at large.

Stupid Stop Signs
Frequently driving home from QPAC, I come across one of the dumbest Stop Signs I've seen. Where is this stop sign you ask?
It's at the end of Fish Lane, as it turns into Grey St.
Now why is it dumb you ask? Yes - Grey Street can be a pretty busy road sometimes. So it probably is a good idea to do something to regulate the flow of traffic onto it.
But here's the problem. Here's the view you have of straight ahead when you've pulled up at the Stop Sign according to both the sign and the road markings. Seem fine so far?
Okay. Now look at this.
Have a look at the view the driver has of the on-coming traffic. Notice any difficulties you might have? How about you can't freaking see the oncomming traffic. Reckon that might cause an issue or two?
