CSI:Bodycount

Just finished watching the fourth season of CSI: Miami.  It's a stupid show, but one I seem to have a horrible fascination in watching.  A recurring theme of the show is that someone behind the scenes seems to be investigating either the Horatio Cane character (what a name...) or his lab.  And it's never completely clear why - whether it's for corruption, incompetence or just plain vindictiveness.  Having just watched the final three episodes of season four in a row, I now believe there's a much simpler explanation for the constant investigating.

The body-count.

In the last three episodes, Horatio kills at least five guys.  Don't think that's too out of the ordinary.  He's slotting at least one bad guy every other episode throughout the rest of the season as well.  That's a hell of a track record for a CSI - even one who's a cop (at least it appears the Miami ones are).

To compare, just think how many people the lead Vegas CSI - Gil Grissom has shot in around eight seasons.  I'm pretty sure we're still waiting for the first one.

It's the body count that does it.
