So you'd rather just let speeding drivers just get away with it then?
Well - speeding is such a major problem outside the Botanical Gardens at 9am on a Sunday morning...
It is possible for cars to speed at any time of day.
So which is the greater deterrent? A visible police presence on a busy road or one lurking behind a bus sign on a quiet street?
If Police presence is always visible, then offenders are only likely to slow down when they can see the Police.Personally I see it as a greater deterrent that you can be caught out even if you can't see the Police.
