Rack Off Delta

Thanks to watching tonight's news I've been bombarded with that fucking annoying screeching from that tuneless harpy Delta "I'm Special Because I've Got Cancer" Goodrem all because she's part of some new tourism ads to promote Australia. And she CAN'T EVEN SING IN BLOODY TUNE!!!!!

Crawl back under the rock you came out from you twit. I hope the bloody rainbow you're wailing about falls on top of you.

Firstly: She can sing.
Secondly: she does recieve a lot of the sympathy vote shit.
Thirdly: I could think of a lot worse people to promote tourism....Steve Erwin for one.

First - have you heard the advert? You could hold a better tune, even if I was removing your finger-nails with pliers that her effort here. Why bother hitting the correct note when you can wobble all around it.

If your'e suppose to be singing - then bloody sing. Don't poke a song around with a bloody stick.

At least the ad with Richie in it is class.

Leave her alone she has gone through enough shit with cancer, she doesn't need some annoying arse giving her shit just because he can in his comforatble position of a sheltered life where no fucking mind blowing hardship has ever touched him.

She has been through enough crap and she needs to enjoy being alive, let her sing out of tune if she wants to.

Hooray - she's had cancer. Why does that make her more special than the thousands of other people who have had to suffer with the same disease? Why does she get to be thrust in the spotlight with her "brave battle" while at the same time she has a CD and DVD to promote? She's someone who's got money. She's someone who can afford the treatment necessary to cure her condition. The 'brave battlers' are those who don't have the money and don't have the celebrity yet still have to fight their way through the exact same disease.

She wants to sing out of tune - fine - do so in the shower like normal people. Not in an advertisement that's suppose to be promoting Australia.

But then again - that's just my opinion. Of course making blind guesses and then using them as justification for criticizing people isn't going to win any arguments either.

Why does it make her more special? How about the fact that people can see her going through a battle with cancer and that other people can perhaps see that 'if she can make then I can too'...and the fact that she has to do this in a public spotlight similar to the other singer Anastacia. These two people have chosen (to a degree) to put themselves in the spotlight and show that cancer CAN be beaten and to perhaps give people directly and indirectly affected by cancer the will to overcome it.

Something else you should bear in mind is that Money cannot kill a tumor and beating cancer is still one hell of a battle no matter how rich and influential you are. Cancer DOES NOT discriminate.

So what is your actual beef here? That she is singing out of tune or that she has cancer and is on TV?....if you don't like what your watching on TV...then change the fucking channel don't whinge because you couldn't be bothered using the mute button, do what everyone else does, don't pay attention to it.

But then again - that's just the opinion of someone whose life had been very much affected by cancer.

Don't think I'm trying to belittle Cancer - I'm not. It's a horrible thing that I wouldn't wish on anyone. People get inspiration from her - good on them.

The thing that gets me is why is she held up as such an inspiration compared to say Tom Green and his battle with testicular cancer. Or in fact anyone who's managed to beat this disease. Aren't they all worthy of such inspirational status?

Anyhow - all this has really driven me far away from the point of my original post - her advert is bloody awful. It grates on my ears. And despite my distaste for her music - she can hold a bloody note. So why not do it in the ad?

Gah - trust me to badly express something in order to get any kind of interaction on this blog going.
