TODAY'S OFFERING

CAMS = MORONS
The Confederation Of Australian Motor Sport has managed to fuck up, royally, a decisiion at the Winton round a couple of weekends ago. Greg Murphy was closely trailing Craig Lowndes when Lowndes drifted and Murphy had nowhere to go but into Lowndes. CAMS issued a large fine to Murphy who was totally innocent of any wrong-doing. This is not just the view of myseld. Anyone watching the incident would agree (except if you are a blind and/or old CAMS official like Colin Bond). RPM, the Channel 10 producrtion covering the series, has also questioned the decision and it seems that CAMS is now in, at least, partial damage control.

The V8 Supercar series is most probably the best saloon car series in the world (many Formula 1 and other international drivers agree and also have the aspriations of racing in Australia when they retire from the F1 like series) however, CAMS has made many stupid decisions in the past. Maybe it is time for CAMS to have a good look at things and make sure that whatever they do that they don't fuck up the series. Unfortunately CAMS has defended itself instead of realising that neither Murphy, Lowndes or anyone with eyes believe there was a shred of malice involved.

Curious and Interesting:
McNealy's Last Stand
Technical muscle and a history of innovation made Sun a Silicon Valley standard-bearer. It also blinded famously combative Scott McNealy to the coming Linux wars. Now he's fighting to survive.
